The ISO Certification Uganda Project was established in 2018 as an initiative of Computer Forensics Consult (CFC), working in collaboration with the Professional Evaluation & Certification Board (PECB) and support from the Center for Innovation and Professional Skills Development (CIPSD) under the College of Computing & Information Sciences (CoCIS) at Makerere University.

The project is currently implementing its Second Five-Year Strategic Plan (2024 - 2028).
